2019 Patrick Piuze Bourgogne Aligoté '1953'

In-store only

Our café and market have gotten quite busy this season, so we've had to disable online pre-ordering for the time being.

Not to worry, though— our entire inventory is still available in-store. We look forward to seeing your beautiful faces!

From an old Aligoté plot in Saint Bris, planted in 1953. The field is surrounded by hemp. Fermented and aged in tank. Beautifully aromatic and mineral, with a streak of classic Piuze acidity. Aromas of freshly-cut green apple, Asian pear, white flowers, and wet stone.

Patrick Piuze- a Montreal native- took the region by storm when he arrived over decade ago. He worked for Leflaive, Jean-Marc Brocard and Jean-Marie Guffens before starting his own label in 2008, and has very quickly come to be counted among the legendary names of the region. Piuze works with purchased fruit, and his great relationships with the growers of Chablis have allowed him access to choice parcels in all of the great sites.
