A textured wine with 6 hours of skin contact with notes of tart lemon and spiced pear with a touch of honey. Racy acidity balances it out, making it a food-friendly wine.

Shiba Wichern Cellars started in 2013, under the helm of Japanese winemaker, Akiko Shiba. She was formerly a beverage journalist and moved to Germany to study beer but decided to enroll in an enology program at Geisenheim University. She manages all aspects of the vineyard sites and creates approachable wines made with minimal intervention. Auxerrois blanc is an important varietal in Alsace and Germany Akiko brings out the best expression of this grape.
