The Ciel Rouge is a 100% Chenin Blanc wine that showcases the intense acidity and mineral flavors the grape can achieve. Aromas of yellow apple and pear waft from the glass, highlighted by a slight nuttiness and lanolin character. On the palate, the wine is bone-dry with lots of acidity and rocky, mineral flavors to compliment a deceiving full body.

Michel Autan, was formerly a rural doctor and moved into winemaking in 2013. He is based in the Vouvray appellation of the Loire Valley and trained under the renowned biodynamic producer François Pinon, and has put into place the same meticulous attention to detail and exacting standards in his vineyards and winery. All vines are grown on clay-limestone soils and are at least 50 years of age. The wines undergo spontaneous fermentation with natural yeasts in neutral French oak barrels of varying size.
