A beautiful, ‘crunchy’ earth, alpine wine from the small Pinerolese DOC, in western Piemonte. It is high toned with notes of strawberry, cherry, green herbs, earth, and a nice spice element. Tannins are supple and the wine continues to open up, enticing you for another sip.

From a tiny 25 acres of vines scattered across 14 different plots in the shadow of Monte Bracco, near the French border, this is very much a field blend - here of native and traditional grapes Barbera, Chatus, Freisa, Bonarda and Neretta Cuneese. The winery was founded in 2000, but ​the vines for the Rouge de Lissart are the oldest of all of the family's vines and were there during WWII. In fact, what they have is all that remains from what were many hectares after the battles that were fought here.
