Ripe cherry aromas mingle with violets and fresh herbs on the nose, with an underlay of clay. It is medium-bodied with an earthy and spicy complexity on the palate, yet still emphasizing juicy fruit, supple tannins, and freshness.

Holass wines come from a diverse range of vineyard sites across different terroirs, but they are unified in their farming practices, all of which are organic or biodynamic. The city of Sopron is the historic home of Kékfrankos and the former center of the Burgenland region. Following the First World War, the majority of these became part of Austria while Sopron remained in Hungary. As part of Holass’ mission to reunite the two sides of this historic region, the Sopron offers a pure expression of Kékfrankos in a light, approachable style.
