A blend of 75% 2018 Chehalem Mountains Pinot Noir + 25% 2019 Havlin Vineyard Gamay Noir, the wine is grounded and structured.

“Uitwaaien” is a very Columbia Gorge Dutch word. In practice it means to go outside on a windy day, ideally somewhere in nature, and let the strong breezes clear your mind. The label was designed during a tropical storm. The non-vintage blend brings both resolved complexity and freshness.
Partially hand-destemmed with significant whole cluster. Native yeast, minimally extractive open-top fermentation. Lightly basket pressed. The Pinot component over-vintaged for a 20 month élevage in 75% neutral and 25% second-fill oak. The Gamay saw eight months élevage in a single neutral oak barrique. Moved only by gravity. Gently egg white fined. Unfiltered.
