2019 Landmass ‘Jerome’ Chenin Blanc
Ripe peach, apricot, grass, sweet lemon, and white flowers. It is structured, with medium body, a lot of acidity, and a long finish.
New comer Melaney Schmidt stepped off the path to becoming a Sommelier and into wine production after working her first harvest in 2016. She approaches wine through the lens of the varied geography, geology, and climate of the Pacific Northwest, resulting in an exciting lineup of wines. The 2019 Chenin Blanc was harvested from the only vineyard site in the Rogue Valley to grow this variety. At 1900 feet in elevation, the days are long and warm but the mornings and evenings are crisp and cool, allowing for concentrated and ripe fruit notes while still maintaining bright acidity, the perfect recipe for a food friendly wine.
