Racy, vibrant, salty, with minerals and all sorts of saline, rocky elements intertwined with lemon, yellow apple, honeycomb, and crushed oyster shells. Fresh, crunchy but complex, with very serious age-ability.

Romain Guiberteau was mentored by legendary Clos Rougeard vigneron Nady Foucault, and his Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc wines from Saumur's Brézé hill have become nearly as sought-after as the maestro's: Unoaked and full of tense mineral energy, this single-vineyard Chenin Blanc is sourced from very old, organically farmed vines in the "Les Moulins" cru—one of Guiberteau's many prized plots.
