Notes of gunflint stone, hazelnuts, and citrus blossoms with a core of white peaches. Medium-bodied and silky it gains intensity in the glass slowly opening up from bright mineral to savory bass tones framed by tangy acidity and finishing with great texture.

Walter Scott Wines is a small Oregon winery specializing in Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc from exceptional vineyards in the Willamette Valley. Their focus is to produce wines of elegance and purity, while conveying transparency of site and the character of the vintage. Located in Eola-Amity Hills, they had their ten-year anniversary in 2018. It was also a year in which they felt they hit their stride with winemaking, having settled on a less-is-more approach: pruning for low yields rather than green-harvesting; favoring more de-stemming and less whole clusters, and pump-overs rather than punchdowns.
